Stone Mountain, GA — June 10, 2025 — The Center for Truth and Healing is proud to announce that the DeKalb County Senior Prom—a heartfelt celebration honoring our vibrant senior community—has officially sold out, with more than 250 guests ages 55 and up expected to attend. This highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 3 PM to 6 PM at the beautifully renovated Atrium Performing Arts Center at Memorial Square, located in Stone Mountain, GA. Themed as an elegant afternoon of joy, music, and community, the Senior Prom will feature live entertainment from the renowned DJ Will and be hosted by community favorite and cultural connector Brinca the Equalyzer. “This prom is more than a party—it’s a place for the more mature population of our community to come together socialize, make connections, and to access resources ,” says DeNiece Freeman, Executive Director of the Center for Truth and Healing. “It’s about celebrating our elders, understanding their needs, and showing them that we care.” The sold-out event reflects overwhelming community interest in creating meaningful spaces for our senior population. From soulful line dances to encouraging conversations, attendees will enjoy a fully catered dinner, mocktails and cocktails, games, and special surprises.
